As part of the TZL – Technology Center Laufenburg  project, the unique, largest and most efficient AI data center in Switzerland is being built on an area of more than 12,000 m².

The sovereign AI infrastructure meets the highest requirements in terms of security, redundancy and performance. Further strengthened by the connection to the world's largest redox flow battery storage system. This interaction guarantees a stable, flexible power supply even in the event of grid fluctuations - a decisive advantage for reliable and uninterrupted AI operation at the highest level.

Our AI factory is optimized for sovereign, GPU-intensive workloads - with direct access to the European power node (Laufenburg), low CO2 energy, redox flow storage and AI/HPC-experienced operations team.
The Sovereign AI Factory is expected to go live in Q1 2029. The first customer systems and GPU clusters can already be integrated and tested in our existing data center locations FBDC01 & FBDC02 as part of early access phases or POC (Proof of Concept). Pre-bookings and individual project planning are now possible.

The battery storage system is primarily used to balance the power supply from renewable energies. Renewable energies such as solar, wind and hydropower are dependent on the time of day and the weather. The battery storage system is fed with surplus electricity and stores the energy on demand. This means that the technology center does not need emergency power generators that run on fossil fuels. In addition, power fluctuations can be balanced out and risks such as a blackout can be minimized.

The site uses almost exclusively renewable energy (hydropower), is prepared for waste heat recovery and has a redox flow battery storage system for grid stabilization - for a measurably green AI infrastructure.

Yes - both individual hardware and complete GPU clusters can be operated in dedicated white space or in secure colocation areas, including direct power and network connections.

Yes - our infrastructure is carrier-neutral, redundantly connected and enables direct connectivity to hyperscalers, IXPs and global networks.

Multi-level security concept: 24/7 monitoring, biometric access controls, redundant energy and air conditioning supply as well as separate customer areas with optional cages and private suites.
